The Hotel Gault is proud to present The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a unique collection of photographs taken during a live Jimi Hendrix concert at the famed Kiel’s Auditorium, St Louis (Missouri) on November 3rd 1968. These exclusive photographs were shot by a world renowned photographer, Jim Wiseman.
Jim Wiseman has photographed some of the biggest artists in contemporary music history and his work has been shown around the world from the Museum of Modern Art in New York to the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and the Proud Gallery in London. This extraordinary series of Hendrix photos was taken while Wiseman was still a rookie photographer and “are the result of that unforgettable on-stage session with Jimi. After that night, I could never think of a live performance in quite the same way.” It was this shoot that launched his career and cemented his name in the annals of music photographer greats.
The images taken at Kiel’s Auditorium capture, like never before, the uninhibited, fervent vivacity that was the very soul of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
