Business Development (13 Juin 08)

May 24th to September 7th, 2008

For the summer, the Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal will utilize all its galleries for an impressive exhibition, the first edition of the Québec Triennal, an exhibition devoted to the current state of Québec contemporary art. Presented as one of the most ambitious exhibitions of Quebec contemporary art and one of the largest exhibitions in the Museum history, it includes 135 works: drawing, installation, painting, performance, photos, sculptures and videos. Most of the artists and Quebecois collectives will show their works at the Contemporary Art Museum for the first time.

The 38 artists and collectives were carefully chosen for their innovative and highly mastered practices, from the strategies used to the themes. As mentioned by MACM, the works testify the liveliness of Quebecois art, its profusion and its relevance.

An admirable exhibition that gives a global vision of the current contemporary artistic production in Quebec!
