Until September 28th, the Fine art Museum of Montreal reveals an eagerly awaited exhibition that shows the work of one twentieth century’s greatest couturiers, Mr. Yves St-Laurent. This retrospective groups together forty years of creation of the Maison de haute couture Yves Saint Laurent. It also presents the sources of inspiration of this virtuoso who left a signature which transcends fashion.

Guests can buy their admission tickets directly the Hotel Gault front desk at a cost of $15 for adults and $7.50 for children.

The exhibition is structures around four main themes:

* “The Stroke of a Pencil” presenting the designer’s idea with his original sketch * “The Yves Saint Laurent Revolution” where feminized versions of men’s attire rub shoulders with seductive apparel * “The Palette” showing the how reversed the traditional rules of colour harmony with new contrasts * “Lyrical Sources” exploring his historical, literary and artistic influences

Yves Saint Laurent is all over the world recognized for his unique style that combines references to the world of art with allusions to pop culture and social revolution. His creations became true timeless classics.
